Anyone from Mass?

  1. I'm looking to expand my coop and flock. I would love to find a "chicken swap", or similar gathering to pick up some new birds and/or equipment. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

It is pretty good there. It is kinda like a hit or miss type deal. Sometimes they have stuff you need and sometimes the don't. I bought chainlink fencing for my pen there. I got 3 rolls of coated chainlink, 21 feet each roll. I paid $12 bucks for all 3 rolls together and the metal posts lol. I got my wire rabbit cages there for like $4 each, I got a weedwacker for $5 and I have bought most of my Muscovy ducks there for like $7 each. I bought my alpine goat there for $42 last week. The week before that the baby goats went for $80 so it is all on who is there and who bids etc.. I have also got some chickens and guinea hens there. I have been hatching chicks in an incubator we built so I haven't bought any chickens lately. We will be there tomorrow night. We are looking to get more guinea hens. Livestock auction is on Monday nights starting at 5:30 and they start with the tools etc and then they do the birds and rabbits and then if anyone brings goats, pigs, cows etc they do that last.
