Anyone from Missouri?

Sorry, Carole, I have too many roos now and a batch of young chicks..must be roos in them too! LOL Plus some eggs in the bator, I am sure I will be overrun with roos. Thanks for the offer though.

No problem, I think I can find someone at the Ava growers market on Sat. that may take him off my hands, there is no real big hurry to find him a home yet anyway.

Good luck with all of yours!

Carole

Sorry to have been so late on this thread. I hope you found a home for your rooster. The ones at the Farmers Market when we went there were beautiful!

We had grandchildren visit last week who really enjoyed the chickens. The 2 yr old has a very dramatic delivery of how she found 'a GREEN egg' in the nest. She carried it in her purse for a bit.

I finally found a home for my 8 extra roos by posting on Craigslist. I think a few were going to liove but some were going to be dinner....

Just wanted to share a few photos. Here is our new place-- at least the exterior is done, but we are still working on plumbing, cabinets etc inside before we can move in... We're thinking we'll live in it for about 5-8 years before we build a "real" house.

Also, the chickens have a new temp coop, a metal shed. They have been in a tractor/brooder but had waaay outgrown it. They are still a little nervous in their new place but are getting used to it. FYI: I'm in love with Dominiques as a breed. So laid back and the rooster is a hoot!
