Remember if you open them to moisten the membrane. By opening you are letting more moisture escape but it allows you to add more too.

I been every 30 to 45 minutes. Now two of them have good movement in themRemember if you open them to moisten the membrane. By opening you are letting more moisture escape but it allows you to add more too.
Yes, dying chicks deeply offends some people, I'm so sorry for the lecture! I wrongly assumed you were asking for totally different reasons.I am deeply sorry if I offended you or angered you in any way... I seriously wanted to know the reason why you died them and what it would do to the chicks. I have never heard about it before and was really curious about it. I would love to hear more about it if you would not mind sharing the information. As I can see that I asked a question that is highly debatable (by your answer) please feel free to PM me info. Sounds interesting to me, and I am sure that my brother would be totally into hearing about it too!!
tonight i'm going to remove all but the two that i've seen movement. sadly I can now see a BIG problem. How well do they do hatching *** first? cause my chicks keep moving but keep ending up with butts near where the air sac was.It should be enough. The one on the front right looks like it quit early in the game.
Can't quite see the others on the right. When the membrane is moist you should be able to see them breathing.
Yours are in a more difficult position in that they haven't pipped at all.
Yes, dying chicks deeply offends some people, I'm so sorry for the lecture! I wrongly assumed you were asking for totally different reasons.Besides an expirement for the kids and I we wanted to identify certain chicks hatched from certain eggs. If you want details on how we did it please let me know. We took pictures of the process.![]()
An update: The chick is still alive and doing well! He has made some progress, not a complete zip though which would make me happier. I'll try to post a picture in a little bit. We have several other pips as well, some of these guys are pretty vocal! I love talking to them and hearing them peep back.
