Anyone going to have eggs hatch in novemeber?

i certainly would appreciate all the input i can get with these duck eggs.... it's my 2nd hatching. the 1st got me 2 ducklings outta 16 eggs. i hope to do better this time. good luck to everyone on their hatchings. so sorry about the broken eggs but at least the seller added extra for you, sweet.

would the author of this thread make a posting of who is hatching with us, what they're hatching and the due date? it would sure be easier to keep up with.

i have 35 call duck eggs that should be due November 26th. i'm using a forced air incubator with an auto turner.

what's everyone else hatching (or gonna try)?

don

I have read that duck eggs are much harder to hatch than chickens and that Muscovy ducks have an especially low hatch rate in an incubator. I don't know about other types and haven't tried any duck eggs yet. I do know they need a lot more humidity throughout incubation than chicken eggs.

I"m hatching chicken eggs right now But i have hatched duck eggs in the past. I had 2 hatch out of 3 eggs with duck eggs. The third wasn't fertile. With the duck eggs I misted them with water every morning (like the momma duck had her morning swim). Other then that I incubated them like i would chicken eggs cause I had no idea what i was doing. Good luck!

I now have 23 eggs in my incubator. Wish me luck! I'm gunna need it. They were shipped and in shipping suffered from extreme abuse (as seen in my previous post). 3 have hairline fractures that can only be seen when candled. I've hatched some like that before going to leave them in the worst that happens is they do not hatch.

Monday or tuesday my new incubator shows up i'll get it started and by thursday have my eggs in it. it has an egg turner and all that cool stuff :D i can't wait. I'm gunna be hatching so many chickens. My parents better be ready to start a huge chicken farm/egg production.

I only want 5 or 6 more pullets out of this but my parents supply eggs to their neighbors that either cannot afford food but make to much for help from the government. and then there is a neighbor of hers that wants to make as small of a carbon print thingy. They buy eggs from her because they can bring down their egg carton and have it filled. :)

Ooooh! Can I join in?? Over here it is late spring/early summer. I set 9 eggs from my own chickens today in my home-made still air incubator... I have 3 commercial white layers, a Rhode Island red hen and a RIR rooster. 3 of the eggs are pure RIR (saw Kayla my RIR hen exiting the nest box every day during the 3 days that I collected eggs for hatching!) and the other 6 are from the commercial white layers and the RIR rooster :) So excited!

Since they were set today, they should be due to hatch on 25 November.... Two days before my birthday!!!

Well if they are fertile and your 'bator holds a pretty even temp with decent humidity, no reason why most of them shouldn't hatch! Welcome aboard. I'm afraid you'll find hatching eggs to be addictive!

You'll have a good hatch :) Optimistic thoughts result in good hatches :D

I set 10 Orpinton eggs on Friday. This is my first hatch so I'm a little nervous about it but the Genesis is plugging right along with perfect temps and humidity. Keep fingers crossed!
