YAY my new incubator came. It's been running all day. It has an egg turner and quail rails (for if i choose to do smaller eggs or quail eggs). Tomorrow i will move my eggs from the home made incubator to the new one.

Mine are due 25 November... BUT I hope they didn't die yesterday... I came home to find my incubator's temperature had shot up to 42 degrees C... That's around 106 FI'm pretty sure they won't be hatching but keeping them going anyway until I can candle them to see what's going on... When can I candle them if I set them on Sunday?![]()
It's holding temp really well as far as I can tell. I checked it only twice today. They are in the egg turner so I have less stress
Im just lucky he is indulgent...last year I ordered 6 EEs and 2 silkies, feed store left a message that they had my 8chicks. I called back before listening to the message, the relayed that they had my NINE chicks. We arrived 20minutes later to pick them up...I had TEN in my box ;-) So I guess even the feed store knows what to do with the "extras"-LOL
