The email contact information listed above for Cassy Garrett does not work.....I am interested in going to the show if Texas entries are accepted. Does anyone know if out of state entries are accepted ?

Sorry, I had left out one t in the email address, it should work now.

It says that the show is open to "poultry exhibitors of the world" on the second page, but no specifics are given except that:
(1) A copy of the Exhibitors National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP) official flock certificate, or (2). NPIP 9-2 Test Report or (3)NPIP approved state plan certificate.

I would contact Cassy for more specific information though.

Texas can show in Oklahoma but Oklahoma can't show in Texas.

I am curious as to how you can have 3 judges in the open double show? Wouldn't there have to have an even number of judges?

Can I ask a few questions? I went to the show last year and just watched. I just got some really nice birds and are considering going again.

What is a double coop? I'm only going to bring to cockerels and would need 2 pens. Is that what a double coop is? I feel so new.
Thanks anybody.

Double coops are for birds with exceptionaly large tails, it gives them more room. Black Rosecomb bantams for instance. Also some large fowl breeders want them for their males who just are too big for the single coops. Brahmas and RIR's for instance.

When you ask for a double coop you pay for 2 coops for 1 bird

This is how I would assume it would go:
One of the judges listed above (either Dwayne or Melody Jonas) would judge the Junior Show along with Jacob Bates? But, that's just me assuming it.
