Are you sure there will be chickens? Last year someone told me last yr there was only the incubator hatching eggs.......so i did not go. I hope you will post back here and let me know if they have any. I will tell you that the bolton fair has ALOT of chickens. The fair is only 2 days and i have been told that they are only there on the day of the show, so that is when i go. This is a more old fashioned fair with crafters and alot of 4-H and farmers had stands with their products. I was so surprised at all the poultry they had there. I really hope you find some at the Big E. The place is so huge, the person could have easily missed them.

well I didnt go last year but the year before there was a huge building with nothing but chickens so I hope so thats the main reason we are going. I'll post back to let you know. today is 4-h day and FFA day.

I think i believed him because it seems like a long time to have the chickens in the cages there. If you have seen them there before, then he probably did miss them. I hope you have a great time

well I hope they are there maybe they only go for 1 day and I got lucky but my husband remembers seeing lots of beautiful chickens there too. I like the silkies and the fancy looking roosters.

grew up in that area and LOVE the Big E- LA County Fair and Kern County fairs are not as good- just thinking of the potatoes in the Maine building and the clam cakes in the Rhode Island building - yummy ! Used to work Tuesdays at the auction in Wately (spelling ?) and eat at the Bluebird Diner afterwards !

Have a great time at the fair- I'm so jealous !!

well I went to the Big E and all they had for poulrty was 8 chickens and the huge incubator with a bunch of chicks hatching

. we still had a good time though. I asked about chickens and they said in january, which is the big poultry show I posted about.

Hi! I noticed that Lurky mentioned the Bolton fair. Does anyone know if I can purchase chickens at that fair? I was headed for the Milford Tractor Supply swap today, but have had a last minute conflict and won't be able to get there. I was already planning to visit the Bolton fair this year and would be thrilled if I could also pick up a couple of hens there. Thank you!
