I'm getting really worried, so I would love to hear stories of successful late hatches with no pips on the 21st day. Am I dreaming? Is it possible?! I'm not seeing any movement either, although one seems to have moved a little overnight. I wish I could tell if they are even alive!!!

One thing I should mention, I did set them late in the day. So I guess this evening, I can consider it the 21st day, right?

Thanks!

Oh, and this is funny. I heard a bird cheeping outside early this morning, and ran into the next room to look at the incubator...Nuthin. lol I'm losing my mind!!!!

Oh yeah, don't give up yet-many people have had no pips until day 23 or 24. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Oh also- I think the reason mine took so long is I was hand turning. If you have opened the bator frequently, I imagine that could be a reason they are slow to hatch. How did the incubation process go?? Any mishaps? Were the eggs definitely fertile? Did you candle them throughout the process?>

I haven't been hatching for very long but it seems like I have 1 chick hatch right on time, well right on my time that is. then the others decide to wait for 2 or even 3 days so it can happen. Did you candle them at some point to make sure you have fertile eggs though because that is the best way to tell if you should have hope or give up. Good luck though I bet everything works out fine.

Thanks for your replies! I started with 18 eggs. After candling, 3 were clear and the other 15 showed good development. I probably did open the incubator too much, plus candled pretty often too. Maybe this could explain why they are slow.

There have been a couple of mishaps. The main concern has been too much humidity in the first two weeks, so the air spaces aren't the size they should be. I know this can cause drowning, so that's a big worry for me. Other than that, we did have a temp spike a few days ago. It got up to 105.5 in the incubator, for maybe 40 min to an hour. That freaked me out, and I thought they all could be dead!

So yeah..I do have reasons to worry. I wish I didn't have to wait so long to find out if they're ok or not!

Thanks again!
