Wow congrats everyone. my hatch is going well too. I have 14 out and 10 to go. all mine are americanas and b.r.

also very cute pics of the little fluffy butts i have pics to but cant figure out how to post them on here. if anyone can help me i will be sure to add my pics.

Ok i figured out how to put up pics i am a goof. here are some of my new little ones.

I've got 2 chicks!! I've got 2 chicks!!!! And another has pipped!! It's hard to see in this ancient hatcher, the window is only 2 inches in diameter but they're there!!

There was no sign, no cheeps, nothing, then while I was making dinner I realized there was cheeping and it wasn't coming from the wild birds outside the window!! They're both very damp still, but the one looks like a pure bred Barred Rock. Has black down and a big yellow spot on its head!!! Fingers crossed there will be more. This is Day 21!!

I have a baby Silver Laced Wyandotte!!!!!!!!!!! Four or five more are pipping. No sleep tonight. My pictures are awfully fuzzy. I'll post them later when there are more.........sooo excited!

OK... so far 12 have hatched. One died after emerging from its egg. It appeared perfectly normal and had already dried, but it had struggled for some time trying to get out of that darn egg. He was a beautiful baby

So.. I have 11 living, happy chirping little chicks... #12 is zipping as I type this. I still have probably a dozen eggs to go. Don't expect them all to hatch, but wouldn't that be cool?
