thanks so much delmar. the smell is so faint i can barely smell it. i left it open last night and had it closed with the heat on today. i opened it a couple times and aired it out. should be good to go by the time i need to set the eggs.

I should have my problems worked out and be ready to set by then as well. If not a day or two earlier. I sent my borrowed RIR roo home a week ago Friday and I collected eggs Saturday Sunday and today. I put my new EE roo in with the girls Yesterday, so I may try and collect a couple of eggs from my one EE hen before we start the hatch and see if the new guy is getting the job done yet.

edit: Oh by the way, are we going to keep this thread going for another hatch, or start a new thread and invite others to join?

i was wondering the same thing delmar? what do y'all think? my eggs should be here on wed and thurs. more babies!!!!! so excited.

Now ya'll slow down....mine have not hatched yet! Have eggs dated and on the kitchen table waiting for this one to finish so I can get the next hatch started!!! I will be running behind you again....trying to catch up.

But, you can't rush nature. Just hoping I start seeing something tomorrow!

My DH said today when he called the job he is on just might not be over until the first of July....omg....how many chicks could I get hatched by then.....and where the heck am I going to put them?????

I gotta clean the bator first and everything else first.. Plus the temp test which takes about a day.. True.. too fast.. saturday should be good though. Lol
