Here is Sweet Harry with Big Momma and Lil' Momma. When he stands up straight when he is startled he is pretty dern tall.
Sweetest rooster ever and harms none. ALWAYS stands between me and his girls. But not aggressive.

How many chicks do you have now?

Seven hatched.....pips everywhere.....probably 8 in the incubator now pipped! Can't go to bed til they are done. As it is the cat is going to have to sleep in DGD's bedroom....she just got interested. I really feel like I have been so lucky in this hatch!

Go ahead and have the thread closed. I am posting in the LG thread too! Will post picture once they are all done and fluffed!

except i'll add in that my rescue dog, lilly, who has a nervous personality, has really made significant progress in terms of lowering her anxiety since the first chicks were hatched about five weeks ago. she really likes them and is very good with them (although i'm watching like a hawk, for now).
