Ugh! hang in there.

At least they have a cheerleader in there. Maybe that one will keep whipping them all in to shape.
I hope you can get some sleep tonight.

And you are doing a fabulous job!

how's it going?

i woke up to one chick and three pips but humidity in the mid-fifties, and i'm concerned about shrink wrapping as well

Yay!!!!! I have a chickie. It is still sitting in the bottom part of the shell but is perky. I have one pip. It seems to have some goo or something around the pip area. Is this normal???? It is sort of blowing bubbles. I dont see how it can breathe. I'm afraid to open the bator. What do I do???

Well I think Im all done hatching. I have 9 Barred Rocks out of the original 12 that have hatched. 2 went bad early on. One doesnt seem to want to do anything and I dont see any movement. Not sure what to do there. Most of mine have come in the middle of the night.....Sorta like Santa Clause or the Easter Bunny dropped them off in the night. That works good when you have little kids.

One of the Barred seems to be scooting around on its but with its legs out front a little.... I dont know if its just because he hasnt figured out his legs yet or something is wrong with him. Anyone seen this before?

I will post some more pictures of all the chicks soon.

Hey Chevy, are ya up?

That is a concern about the legs isn't it? I have noticed if they take a while coming out with help, that we then go into the process of>>>therapy! You may notice that the baby will want to lay on one side more than the other because the one leg just isn't quite strong enough. I go in and pick them up where they want to stretch out both legs. Then set them back down and try to see if they will get that leg out there. I have a couple that I'm going to have to work with.
I hope I don't come across as a know it all..I'm not! I've helped a few chicks out. Often times it works..sometimes it doesn't, especially if I go too fast. I've learned to go slow like you've been doing.
Waiting to see how this little one is..I'm guessing it will be fine...is it chirping loud? Like, let me outta here already!
