Anyone hatching April 5-7 or so? ALL DONE, READY TO BE LOCKED

Today is day 20 for my Orpington eggs..Wednesday is hatch day for them!!

Thursday is hatch day for my Bantam Ameraucanas!

I have a mixed flock with RIR hens, one partridge rock hen and one dark cornish hen...then two EE's with a Buff Orpington rooster. Then I have the Barred Rock flock....minus the one that the racoon got....one hen and three pullets that just started laying with a mean a** BR rooster. He can't decide if he wants to breed me or spur me.....

Then Sweet Harry the barred cochin and Lil' Momma the black cochin....the racoon got Big Momma.

BUT I have a bunch of cochin eggs that look good in the incubator. Another hatch after this and then I better quit! But I have lots of folks waiting on chicks. That will help.

And yes....different chickens for different people! That is the fun of it.....

Plus we can hear peeping coming from under the broody.

Anyway...I love Wesummers! I love Marans! I love D'Anevers..spelling there..I have some in another bator, never had them before...I love chickens! Baby chicks..

Cynthia, so happy you were able to keep those eggs warm during a storm! We are due for one tonight.

How did you know that your power went out in the middle of the night? Silly question, it was probably a loud storm, and you were up worried! We also have a generator. Will have to have my husband get it ready just in case!
