Day 19 on 21 silkie eggs and day 18 just locked down on 9 more also silkies

day 19 here. no action yet. when do the babies start rocking in the eggs? when can you hear them? i';m trying not to obsessively stare but that is not easy. delmar those songs are perfect. very appropriate to the situation

glad to hear everyone else is doing so well. it's keeping me entertained while i'm waiting

i know just what you mean its entrancing to watch them my Hubby thinks i'm crazy stood hunched over the bator with my nose all but smushed up on the vieving window making chirping kissy noises and baby talking to them lol

can anyone tell me how long it taks to fluff out? it was 4am when number1 hatched and she is still all wet after 8hours!! (humidity is at 71% and temp 100*)

No idea why she is taking so long unless your humidity is higher than you think it is. If you have condensation on the windows, it's probably higher than 71%.


A 5th D'anver hatched and a second Buff Orp has pipped.

This one and all the rest of the D'Anvers are the mille fleur color.
