Well I candled and fear that I am maybe going to have one hatch. One I'm unsure (new to candling, but it looks... porous... ) one seems to be an embryo and one I think is a blood ring, but I'm holding off on that slim "what if". I may need to incubate again if I end up with one

Well, the obsession continues....I went out and bought a new flash light tonight hoping to get a better look at the BCM eggs and get more of a definitive answer on the one with the possible blood ring. I will let you know. I am pumped. I did choke when I saw the price of the little tiny light....but I could have spent more. At least that is how I will justify it to the hubby.

I will take pics if I am able to see through that beautiful dark shell.

YAHOOOOO!!!!!!!

It worked!!!!! I got to see inside my very dark BCM eggs with the new flashlight!!

They look GREAT!!!!!! We did take out the questionable EM as its status is no longer questionable now that we can see everything in the egg. It was a quitter. Probably the fist couple of days. There is a very small embryo and a major blood ring. My daughter took a quick video of one that I will post in a bit. The flashlight....just in case you were wondering...is a Coleman MAX. It is 115 lum. and was about $25 bucks. Well worth it!!!

And here I was hoping this would be my first and only hatch. But from that description, now it's an obsession and lifestyle - the waking up in the middle of the night because of being hot and going "MY EGGS!" - I did that. Three times. Twice in one night, third time was the next. ><
My best friend is starting to dream about chickens. Needless to say she doesn't appreciate that. Though in one she dreamt she named a roo "Peek-a-boo" and I'm definitely going to use that if I can. XD
