We came back from getting a fresh cut Christmas tree and we have a total of 10 chicks hatched! One more naked neck EEer that is yellow instead of black. I have 5 mille fleur eggs that haven't pipped and only 1 EE that hasn't so far.

Suechick - thank you for answering my questions about the chick with the bad toe. The second one might need a pair of boots as well but it's toes are actually looking better now.

Ok....so since I don't have and fuzzy butt pics to share here is a video taken of our SSh on day 15. You can see it's little feet on the left...head on the right. You can also hear my nephew

Nice brooder, Can your hubby make one for me too? I'm just using a plastic sterilite box.

Eggcellent - glad to be of help. How hard is it to leave to get a Christmas tree when chicks are hatching? I'm impressed!

Man, staring at my incubator is like watching water and waiting for it to boil...except of course there are no little bubbles to watch. Humph.....I guess I will head to dinner.

Ok....I'm at the end of day 17. If my incubator doesn't have a fan, do I keep it at 99.5 for lockdown? or 101? Or wait...I read 102 somewhere. Help!
I made a mini-bator for hatching. I have 4 different set dates in the LG. DH said "just go buy another one!" but I wanted to try making one. It was MUCH cheaper. Hopefully it'll work, I've been monitoring the temp for 24 hours and It's keeping steady. Humidity is up. Just waiting for day 18 to roll around....
