I had (I think) a barred rock/Phoenix chick out this morning to wake up to, now an EE/Phoenix chick out, 3 for-sure pipped silkies and looks like one might be getting ready to zip, another EE mix pipped, and waiting for the rest to pip and zip, this is so nerve-wracking, I need to find something to do

I have wanted orpingtons so very badly and I have had the worst luck! I ordered these from Nellie and they were held hostage by the postoffice for almost 6 days

!!! She sent 24 and 17 have made it to lockdown though

Right before lockdown I candled and the aircells were way to small so I added dry uncooked rice to the incubator and when I checked last night they looked perfect so

If I get even half of them I will be overjoyed

Actually if this lemon cuckoo just makes it out I will be over joyed

After our last epic fail with hatching, we have hopefully found what went wrong, so we are trying again and set 14 eggs yesterday.

We set 5 white faced black Spanish, 2 EEs, a silkie, and 6 white crested black Polish.

They are due to hatch January 27th.

My Showboat (white silkie) hen is sitting on 3 eggs right now due to hatch out the 15th of January! The Daddy should be Sal/fav mix and mommas pure silkies or possibly Sal/fav mixes.
