My humidity was too high during incubation and I realized this at lockdown so I put a bowl of uncooked rice in and it worked great. The aircells looked perfect on hatch day. Well the chicks were tooo large to zip properly because the humidity was to high for the first part of the incubation and by the time I realized it I had lost several ! I should have realized it because it had happened on one of my first hatches! I'm just glad I did figure it out before I lost them all

I candled my eggs last night the 4 silkie eggs all have air sacs are at the top of the eggs and i saw 2 teeny tiny little heads up around the sacs so it won't be long now. My turken eggs are a week younger but are looking good so I'm hoping my silkie girl will keep it up until they hatch too. This broody hatch is going so much better than the last one. As much as I would love to have chicks now I really hope they wait until the weekend because we are supposed to get some nasty cold wind and snow tomorrow. The boys aren't going to like when they have to stay inside they say we can get gust up to 40 mph and windchill of single digits and since it's been in the 50's for the last 2 weeks it's going to be a major shock to them
