Silkymom, my broody did the same thing when I moved her. The only way I got her to stay was to completely confine her. She hatched another peep today. It is sooooo cute. It looks like a dominique peep but it came out of a white egg, so its not a pure breed. I brought the other egg in, we are having major rain here and my broody was getting wet (I was suppose to put a tarp over the box and didn't) so I put her back in the coop with her friends. The egg has pipped. I am anxious to see if she will break her brood now or start collecting eggs again.

I NEED a fix! whew I was having major withdrawls!! This new BYC is not easy to navigate on my phone : ( that is how I use it during the day, and it has really been difficult today

I have to vent for a minute so bare with me!! I put silkies on craigslist a week ago. I sold all I had listed in less than 24 hours. One person was suppose to pick up her peeps on saturday, no call, I emailed her, she said oops, sorry it would be sunday before she could come. Sunday rolls around, no call, nothing. Today I relisted them. I was contacted within 5 minutes, and the guy is coming tomorrow to get ALL that remain. I hope she doesn't contact me expecting them to be waiting . . . .

The first time I hatched chicken eggs I spent the whole day on day 21 standing there peeping at the incubator

. I even pulled up a hatchery website that had a youtube video of chicklets so they could hear that peeping tooo

I think it actually helped though because they started pipping after that, so we still do that if we aren't seeing pips, lol.
