My farthest along chick has made a decent sized hole in her egg, but she broke off a piece of the shell inward, and she's spent the past 3 hours playing with it... She's killling me!!

Yes, that is a lot of eggs. Of course I am sure they will not all hatch. I will candle them soon but am hoping for 250 or so.
I actually have 2 incubators. They are both GQF cabinet incubators. The one these eggs are in is a model 1500 with no hatching tray and the other one I have is a model 1502 with a hatching tray.
So this one is completely filled. I will most likely use them both when day 18 gets here since I have several breeds going.

or i just put my 16 eggs in lockdown removed turner and set eggs on side i have a question i put towel down so it wouldnt get as messy when they start hatching for easy cleanup but the towels the eggs are sitting on are wet is this bad will the eggs die sitting on the wet towel

Are you using one of those styrofoam incubators? I hatch in them and use the rubbermaid shelf liner. It is easy to clean up and the no slip type helps them get their footing. A little wet shouldn't hurt but if it's saturated wet I would change it to a drier towel.
