No.
I don't even have chickens....yet! We're planning on a last hatch of the year to give us time to build the coop (we're still talking materials - block or wood)
I am in full research mode, though, so I love finding stuff like the calender. Just smack me if I go on too much about bacteria and disinfectants and stuff....I swear I am NOT germaphobic! I mean, splashing in mud puddles is still a favorite thing to do (not that we get them a whole lot in AZ). LOL I just love sharing information that I find out that I didn't know.
Hi Gallopingfrog!
I'm just getting started too! And looking for coop ideas! I may need to go cheap/get by till after the holidays, but will only have 4 chickens, so I'll figure something out.
What part of Arizona are you in?
I'm in Tucson, and another member (
Tanichca is in Vail.
Oh! I love splashing in mud puddles!! If your too old for that kinda fun might as well be dead.! LOL! That was the first thing I taught my son as soon as he learned to walk!
I'm actually only about an hour from you, near Casa Grande...I met Tanichcae already (and I just remembered why Vail sounds so familiar - I bought a horse from a lady who lived there about 6 months ago - Duh!) We're going to building all of our coops/pens to look like Western buildings (saloon, mercantile, etc.) so it'll look like a town out back (we have 13 acres). They'll actually be full-sized, tall-enough-to-fit-my-overly-tall-5'9"-frame...lol We plan on a lot of chickens...then turkeys...then pigs...then dairy cattle (we got the beef covered) - not necessarily in that order! Oh, and I want ducks and swans too. Yes, I am overly ambitious! LOL
