Hope your patched egg makes it, how many do you have?
Thanks! I tried "New Skin" on it.
I only set 10 quail , 8 left, including the patched. These are from our birds who just started laying a few weeks ago. And only having 5 hens, I could only save and set a few. Not to mention my son sulked because he couldn't eat the eggs!
Just started lockdown! There is only one egg that is questionable, it was a marans egg that I couldnt even see through with the car headlight, lol. But I put it next to the incubator window so I could keep an eye on it. Humidity was at 35% and climbing when I left the room, but with all the extra water pans I put in there, it should be 60% in no time!
I don't think I'll be able to sleep for the next few days... Just be glued to the incubator...

New skin can be found at drug stores, I got mine at Walgreens.
It's a type of band aid. It's a thick liq. with antiseptic in it.. You brush it on cuts and scrapes and it provides a water proof cover for the wound. My dad used it after a dog bite attack, on fingers where band aids just wouldn't' work. It dries kind of like a clear glue. I read about using it here on BYC somewhere.

I will definitely let everyone know if it works.
There's also the generic brand which I got, and it's called "Liquid Bandage"
