I have to say that I think it's funny that we're pretty much all guilty of picking favorite eggs. I am one of those "root for the underdog" types and I think that's why I'm hoping #13 makes it.

I also have to say that I am glad I can tell all of you that I have a favorite egg, I think that almost all of my "real world" friends would think I was crazy for getting attached to an egg.

Well, I just performed my first eggtopsy. I was hoping to help it hatch, but it was dead

I hope my broody gets off the nest now and shows her babies how to eat and drink!!

one egg hatched like 1 min ago! it just popped out quickly. the other egg is on its way now!

Oh snap... I just realized, I screwed up on the dates! I thought Saturday was day 21, it's actually Friday!!! Which means... I could have hatchlings starting tomorrow!!! EEP!!!

So while I was upstairs putting laundry away tonight, my 3 year old son thought it would be fun to pull one of my day 16 Sizzle eggs out of the incubator and drop it in the fish bowl! Luckily my daughter caught him in the act and quickly pulled it out and immediately came running to me. The water is room temp. and while I worry it might have been shocking to it, I worry even more about the bacteria from the fish water doing more damage.

I quickly warmed up some of my egg wash and wiped it down with that and dried it before putting it back in the incubator. And my Sizzles were doing awesome too, I hope it turns out okay.
