I got my first pip ever today, on my only surviving egg out of the three that I set. It's a mutt (bantam cochin/leghorn x), but hopefully it will be a healthy mutt! This is day 20 for me

I can hear it peeping and it sounds so cute! It's going to be a teeny weeny thing. Can't wait to see it!

Got all of my Sizzle eggs into lockdown today! Candled them one last time before I closed up the 'bator and all 6 are still alive and moving! Including the one my son dropped in the fishbowl!

I'm doing the happy dance over here.

Silkiemom, I told my husband about naming it Tank and he thought that was hilarious! So if it hatches and it's a roo it shall be Tank and we decided if it's a pullet, we'll name it Snorkle.

My sad news is that my patched Splash Marans egg, #13, started to smell funky and had to go. I followed your sage advice Melissa and did my egg-topsy from the safe side of a ziploc baggie.

It had developed quite a ways before it decided to go sour on me, but I'm just glad it went out with class instead of exploding on all my other eggs. I'm sure it would bother me more if I wasn't so darn excited about Snorkle/Tank surviving his/her deep sea expedition. LOL.

Keep us update all of you who are currently hatching! It will help make the next 3 days pass faster for me!

I have cabbaged on to one of our security cameras and have it pointed at the incubator and I can stream it to my office so I can watch the temp and fun

Well, just me, my son and hubby once in awhile...
I'm a stay home mom... and so I should be able to catch it, unless the stinker hatches in the middle of the night. And with my luck it will be the same color as someone else and I won't know them apart. LOL!

I'm seriously thinking of comming up with a basket of some sort. Like a strawberry that is full of slits for air and humid. to circulate....
It stole our heart with all the kicking and is the clearest egg we can see into.. a good white egg to candle! I want to know which it is in the end.
