We have a few more pipped! A marans and two Leghorn.
The stupid cats almost wrecked the whole thing. They jumped into the incubator when I went in to re-wet the paper towels. Thankfully, nobody got hurt (except the cats) though the eggs went everywhere around the incubator.

but all is well now.

Yah... well, they are apologizing by snuggling up to me right now

I guess they were just curious.

That marans baby is LOUD. But he has a sibling coming soon (I saw the pip) so maybe he'll have a friend soon enough. The bird I had to help has a little bit of yolk on her bottom, still hasnt moved much. But I'm keeping her warm and happy, so

all will be well.

Hoping all the new chicks hatching goes well, adorable fuzzy pics and I am sure more to come

I have 10 assorted silkies and 6 assorted Marans going..it is only day 3, but had to candle a silkie egg, I saw veins

Now I am backing away from the bator, except to check temps, add water if need be.....yeah right....

He is a jumpy little bugger! Pretty sure he is a he... look at that comb and those waddles! But just in case... we named him Wishful Thinking. Wish for short.
