Are Chukars larger than Quail? What a pile of sweet fuzziness

Yes my quail are 7-8 ounces when full grown
& Chukars are 1-1/2 pounds & about 12" long

Seeing all the silkies I can't wait to hatch my 24 eggs ! I got them from CJ's Silkies ~ I purposely asked NOT to have them labeled so they would be a surprise in every egg! YEAH ! They are what my 6 year daughter wanted for Christmas.... They should hatch DEC 16th THEN I will have silkie pics to.

I will need help telling what colors and stuff they are because I don't know anything about the all the showgirl/splash/paints etc

Sorry that I did label a few.. its out of habit. lol
How are the eggies doing? I wish you great success in hatching. I am at work so I could not see the brooder pics but will look at them when I get home.
From what others say it really looks nice and the silkie will love it. Can't wait to see pics. And I am way older than 6 (shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh)

and I would like silkies for a Christmas present.

I have 5 Ameraucana eggs going into lockdown this Friday

These are from my own birds and are a project. The buff hens lay a green egg so to improve egg color towards blue I have bred them to my wheaten Ameraucana rooster. It will take at least 3 generations to get back to the solid buff color. These chicks should be buff with partridge markings. The ones that don't make the cut for breeding will be used for pretty EEs. I already have people waiting for my culls

After Christmas I will put more in the incubator along with eggs from my Lavender and blue wheaten Ameraucanas and BLRWs. I am quite the hatchaholic

ya i know. i hatched eggs in it befor

I didn't realize it and I was putting the eggs down on the bottom to hatch and they did not do well

haha yaa i almost did the same. but before adding any eggs i put two thermometers in it .top and bottom and adjusted the temp till i got the top and bottom at perfect temps. now it works great. do u have one simallar?
