yeah my little peeper is cheepin in there......my SO thinks I am crazy.....but am just excited.....A new adventure in life is fun!!!

My new broody thinks using incubators is silly. Why use a brinsea when she has a perfectly warm tummy?!

She can brood in spirit as I incubate the eggs in the house. Maybe her wooden egg babies will 'hatch' around Jan 21st

You are BUSY!! I have some CJs silkies they are growing into GORGEOUS birds! I took them out this past weekend for the first time and they loved being outside. They only got to stay 2 days. Its in the single digits now and I put them back in the coop where its warm!!

I got New Years Eve and New Years Day chicks. Silkies from Elite Silkies & Sassy Silkies. Still have a few more eggs from Elites to hatch if they do.
I got from Sassy Silkies: 1 paint, 1 partridge and 1 buff.
From Elites I got: 1 paint, many blacks, 4 showgirls (1-lavender, 1 blue, 2 blacks) one of the blacks did not make it.

for a total of 12 I think. They are with a foster mom
so I could not count them fast enough. But think there are 11 or 12 so far.
Will get pics soon.. maybe this weekend as it suppose to warm up a bit. Right now its only 28 and don't want to expose them out from under mom.
