I said I was through hatching for the winter...than my Lavender Ameraucana started laying....I've been putting them in the bator as I get them......

...I need help! but I intend on selling their eggs and I can't say I m having a good hatch rate unless I hatch some to see.~Charm1704

Well, I came home and locked down my 8 eggs. I was strong and tossed the 2 duds

I decided to wait on raising the humidity till the first pip since a couple looked like they could loose some more moisture. I just checked and have 2 HUGE pips!!! I rushed and put water through the vent. The pips have got bigger, so I hope I didn't do the wrong thing by waiting

My broody is also a mama! She's so proud! She lifted up for me to see her new baby! She has 3 more eggs under her. I hope they hatch!!

I had a dz eggs originally but I am assuming they were handled roughly by the post office because I had broken air cells. That left me with 6 good eggs. With the loss of the one chick I am down to 5. The one is still in the shell as of now and I have 2 other chirping but no pip.

If I can't bid on auctions in the new site then I won't be able to be on this Thread ever again!!! No bidding means no eggs means no new chicks!

My other hens have been laying eggs in the same box my broody hen is in so I have been having to collect eggs from under her that I don't want to hatch besides the 2, well I accidentally collected one of the 2 I put under her!!

So now she has only 1, makes me wanna pull another from the bator and put under her. I think it's time to seperate her too so the other hens will leave her alone, what do you think?
