Ok good, glad I am not the only one that will be setting early,

I do want to set them all at the same time though, so I will probably wait until I get your eggs and set them all in the LG until my silkie eggs I have in now hatch!!!

And I would love some cochins!!

We have someone coming tomorrow I think to buy a few of our welsummers, so DH is seperating the ones we are keeping because he says it's his turn to use the new incubator, lol

Guess I am kinda hogging it,

Welsummers are his favorite breed, so if either of you want some welsummer eggs once we start collecting I would gladly send you some!!

Thanks! I decided to take the turner out and hand turn for a few days. You can fit A LOT more eggs with the turner out. Ut oh!

I have a R-com20 incubator so I doubt I can be of much help, but on mine I can stack the eggs on top of each other and the way the turner works it still turns them all. Hopefully someone on here with hovabator can help ya out some more?!?!

SilkieMom I'll definitely take you up on the Welsummers

. They are my favs and I can't keep up with the people who want them

. I have 9 to hatch starting today so

. My blrws from Brent are pipping and a zipping

One is already fluffing and four are pipped and zipping

I have 13 of the BLRWs and two of the Super Secret Mystery eggs that made it to lock down

I did not set them till the evening so it is still early

. I got some more Quail eggs today and my quail cages came yesterday and are just so very awesome here is a pic. I ordered another set today so that will give me 16 cages total. I did not want to order two if they were cheap but after getting the first one I couldn't resist ordering the second. I think I will incorporate them into my Tortoise Room that way they will be protected and I can adjust the lighting for them. If they get 14 hours of light a day they will just keep laying until they molt.

8 eggs left.. most have pips

23 chicks hatched so far



out of my shipped french black copper marans eggs.. I had gotten 18.. out of those 7 were infertile (clear).. 2 more were bad when i checked them this morning. and the remaining 9 have all hatched! (50% hatch rate on shipped eggs)

out of the mutt eggs I set (24) .. 2 of the pullet eggs weren't fertile.. 8 are left (most have pips) ... there are 14 of Jack's sons and daughters pecking at food in the brooder!

where did you find those quail cages???
I'm just using stackable rabbit cages from TSC.. yours look nice and I love the fact the stand has rollers!
