Anyone HATCHING?!?!? Newbie's and addicts WELCOME!!!! Hatch Calendar page 1!!!!

My temp dropped in my brooder to 80 degrees but it was a quick recovery. Will that mess up my hatch? Im on day 24 and still waiting. They were moving around before the drop now they have quit.

If it wasn't down long you might still get some chicklets to hatch

If this is your first time incubating don't give up though. Sometimes the second or third try is better

Well she's been moving all around, but still no zip....I never get to be home usually when they hatch because of my work schedule, so DH takes care of them for me. ( He turned 30 yesterday) And he sad the best present would be if this chick would hach so I get to see it....

I have a couple eggs moving and it looks like the inner shell is chipping away. I have one egg that the outside shell looks like its got some yellow stuff on the outside and the outside shell is flaking off. I have no idea what to look for.

I have a baby on the way! She started poking out about to hours ago and is halfway there. Humidity and temp have been stable so hopefully she hatches out hust fine. I should be asleep but this is so exciting my eyes wont stay closed. Poor BF went sleep on the couch since he was hunting all night and had just barely come to bed when I noticed her hatching. =)

On day 13 today. . . the wait is killin me!!! lol especially since this is my first hatch attempt. I candled one yesterday just to see and show my daughters, man nthese khaki shells are HARD to see through lol, all I can make out is a dark mass that filled up 80% of inside the egg that light would not pass through, and the small pocket at one end that the light would actually go through. Much more dark mass inside the egg compared to what it looked like at day 6, so to my untrained eye I have some growth still going. I have been DILIGENT on checking/maintaining correct temp and trying to handle the humidity. I run the still air with minimal water inside and by using the wet bulb method every few days I have been around 40-45% humidity the last week, it must have been higher the first week since I wasnt checking it and i had filled the entire middle trough in the base of the incubator with water. it seems like right now, every other day or so it gets about a tablespoon of water max. I am thinking of candling the other 6 eggs tonight and hoping for atleast 3 or 4 good ones going out of the 7, than that will be it for handling them other than the daily turning of them until lockdown at the end of THIS week. . . WOW! thats coming quick!!

Hope everybody else is anticipating hatch day like I am!! LOL a 32 yr old Marine getting excited like this over some chicken eggs!

I had a egg I had taken from my broody that I was unsure of its due date. It pipped yesterday. I couldn't raise the humidity because it was in a full incubator, so I closed the vent and crossed my fingers.

About 8 hours later I had a beautiful peep!!

It zipped and hatched just fine. I was really surprised, I thought it would be one I would have to assist.

I had company all day yesterday and forgot to check my incubator notes and missed a lockdown day

I put 6 splash marans into lockdown this morning. 2 are very questionable, but the other 4 look good
