Anyone HATCHING?!?!? Newbie's and addicts WELCOME!!!! Hatch Calendar page 1!!!!

Dang it, I just realized that my eggs are due smack dab in the middle of Ground Hog Day and Valentine's Day. I'm totally failing at giving my chicks special birthday hatches! Hope they forgive me and still hatch. In the meantime, I will confirm what day they are due when I look at my hatch calendar again (I think it's 2/7) and I'll try to find something worth celebrating somewhere, to make their due date special!

u'r too funny. My paint eggs are due 2/3 so I am going to miss them both also.

Yay ! My chickies are due on the 7th !!!

Feb 7th is a full moon......maybe that will give you good luck!!!

Oh they are so cute, my babies are 6wks old now and I want to do another hatch, but I'd have to be able to sell them.... the market isn't too good out here from what I can tell.

Well, I am not too happy! My showgirls were all duds, as were my marans! :( I checked them this morning and did eggtopsies. I couldn't figure out a problem . . So who knows?

I did receive a dozen polish this morning :) I haven't had much luck with them either, so let's hope it goes better this time!!

My poor broody got her eggs knocked out of the nest yesterday (that she stole from a youngster) and 1 was broke :( I took her a egg from the bator that is due and will steal her remaining 2 when it hatchs, to go in the bator. She's just recovered from sitting and finally looking healthy again, I don't want her sitting for 21 days and looking ragged.

So sorry about your showgirls and marans, I hate it when I can't figure out what went wrong!

My silkie that went broody but stopped when I moved her hasn't started laying again yet, do you know if there's a time period before they will start laying again?

It has taken mine anywhere from 2 weeks to a month to start laying again.

Okay today is finally day 21. Whew, thought it would never get here. (despite me trying to rush it) I heard a peep. A few of them are rocking around pretty good. When they do come out I need to wait for them to dry before moving them to the brooder right? And do I really have to wait 24 hours before I can start touching them?
