Anyone hatching on January 5th???? I got chickies everywhere!!! PICS

Congrat's everyone!

My hen didn't have any luck. Night #19 our outside temp dropped to 17 then again the next night. On day 23 I cracked a couple eggs to find fully developed dead chicks. Left her on the rest for 2 more days but nothing.

So I pulled her off the eggs & dissected the rest, 15 dead peeps what a bummer! I thought about moving her nest into a warmer spot. I guess I should have.

Still trying though, I have 13 eggs in the bator from another hen due on the 24th

Thanks Angie! No, she is doing great! She loves these little ones and they love her. Diana told me to get in her face and handle them, and I have been, and that's been going great too. I am keeping both of the chicks so I wanted to make sure they are not totally wild!

When do you know to take them away from her? Do you just let her decide or??? And how are yours doing?
