No thats not normal, a good broody hen will not move the last few days. Just like a incubator the eggs need the higher humidity to hatch. I would lock her in the nest and hope for the best. I had one hen the was like that She set 2 sets of eggs and didnt hatch any I'm not going to set her again . I have better hens that will brood and set tight and get great hatches every time.
I'm not sure what chance your eggs have
I HAVE MY FIRST PIP!!!!!! The first of the lemon blue cochin eggs has pipped tonight (end of day 19) I hope it is out by morning. Don't see anything on any of the others yet. This was the oldest egg and was 11 days old when it went in the incubator.

That's what I was afraid of. This is her first time and she hasn't been the best broody. There was a time that she was very faithful to her nest, but she would break an egg every day or so. She never ate the eggs or the chicks inside - she was just clumsy.
Well.... I'm leaving the eggs with her for a few more days and hoping, against odds, to be able to post a dancing smilee along with the rest of you.
One baby out this morning! Only 1 other pip since last night and it doesn't look too good--she barely broke the shell and the beak's not out. No other action yet. Soon hopefully...
Had one pipped when I checked about 11pm last night. Checked all night, not much progress. The hole is a little bigger and I hear loud peeps coming from the incubator.
Come on little chicks everywhere, it is a gorgeous day to be born!!!
I have one pip in a French cuckoo maran! Wasn't expecting any pips until late today since it was late when put into bator 20 days ago. Again I am going to work, even though I am retired, and will miss what happens for the next several hours. Probably best, that means I'll have to keep my hands off them and the bator closed! I love hatching! Got 10 Ameraucanas yesterday from the first of the staggered hatch.
