This is my first time incubating eggs. Lock-down is on the 4th. I have a shipped assortment of 24 eggs. I have 12 eggs developing. Here is what I have left 1 blue laced red wyandotte, 2 golden polish, 2 bc marans, 2 blue splash marans, 1 silver laced wyandotte, 1 blue orpington, 1 ee, and 1 buff brahma. What chickens will I get?

I am really enjoying this so far. I plan on my next hatch to be better. This waiting is so hard.

Oh, er, um, My eggs are due to hatch the fifth--my older son's birthday (He'll be 17).

I think if mine hatch at all, they may be early-- my temp has been running high. I'm thinking I oughta put them in lockdown today, or at the latest tomorrow. This is my second hatch-- first time around, only two of 22, and both died. I have 18 eggs this time.

C'mon chickies!

I'm in!! I have 8 blue and black mottled and 4 MFC due to hatch the 6th! I'm hoping this hatch goes better. I had just 1 hatch out of the last batch. It was an older model hovabator. I've got a brand new one this go round so I'm hoping for a better hatch!

Hi! I'm a first grade teacher and I'm hatching chicken eggs with my students for the first time! We're very excited and I'm admittedly a bit nervous that I may do something wrong. I was given these eggs, complete with incubator, egg turner and thermometer that also tells the humidity, by a local farmer. We are set to hatch on May 4th also! I do have a question... since it's the weekend, should I go ahead and take my egg turner out today and lay the eggs on the wire mesh bottom of the incubator? Also, what should the humidity be for the last few days of incubation? I'm full of questions!

Mine are due on the 4th too!

This is my first hatch (with an incubator). I set 40 eggs and will go into lockdown tomorrow with 34. I also have two broodies that decided to start sitting the same day. They have 13 between them.
