anyone hatching today?

I have two different bators running right now. It is my first time with both of them. We had one 'mutt' hatch in the wee hours this morning! It pipped about 12 hours before actually hatching. The kids have decided to name it 'Winner'.

Still no pips on the other two, but today is day 21! Let's hope there's a 'Runner-up!'

I have 2 Americauna eggs with pips in them this morning - they are cheep cheeping away in the bator. Hope they hatch aand are healthy. Best Wishes to everyone else with impending hatches!

I'm going on lockdown today with 6 assorted bantam eggs!

I guess I was too impatient. I have four chicks, two pips and one trying to zip out the middle - he's pretty loud and active, so I think he'll make it.

Got a few more pips, but still not hatched anything. I'm hoping to wake up to a great hatch tomorrow morning since that is the actual hatch date. Sometimes I think they TRY to drive us nuts with the early pips and then wait to hatch on purpose!

Well, now there are two. And, number 3 is pipped. Soooo exciting!

I have a blue Ameracuana baby! Lots more pips now, just waiting for the others to zip and hatch.

I have 6 new poults under a RIR,

6 of 6

That hen is gonna be mad when she realizes that those are not just funny looking chicks, and that none of them were from one of her eggs.

One more Crested Polish - I have 2 white-crested blacks, now, and the Austrolorp. 4 other eggs have pips, 3 have none yet.

I'm really surprised at how quickly the chicks come out. My one duckling seemed to take all night to escape his shell. these babies pop out in about 20 minutes.

Got a total of three now, plus one millie leghorn and hopefully a Favorelle on the way!
