Anyone have a Duck Feeder like this?

I was curious if anyone has used this type of feeder for their ducks and how well did it work for you?

Nope, I've just got a couple of plain old 5-gallon buckets that I cut a couple of archways in for them to get their food. The cover on it keeps out the rain and there is very little waste. Free too! Just took a little cutting to make the archways.

O ok Thank you. I was thinking I might make one for our ducks if other who use them like them. Looked like a really slick system to me. Of course I would have to tweak my a little from the original model. LOL

O Ok thank you. The wheel is still round..... other people keep trying to make it roll faster !

I seriously doubt that a.) this will work with ducks and b.) is a good idea for ducks!
Ducks are little big piggies when it comes to food! It would be best if we could restrict our duck to just take one pellet per grab.
With an open food bowl my ducks are just filling up their bills to the brim (nostrils) and walk over to the water, spilling ¼ of what they grabbed on the way and another ¼ is used to thicken up the content of the waterer. => ½ of the pellets i provide is wasted.
I have built a »less spill« feeder for my ducks out of a RubberMaid tote:

• drilled three holes in the long side of the tote
• attached three so called »Street Elbows« in those holes so that they hover 3cm (a bit more than an inch) over the bottom of the tote.

So duck/drake has to pop the head into a hole to get to the pellets and because there are just three feeding ports for 26 birds they first fill up before walking to the water. Then they have to get back in line and wait for their next turn.
Except for Blanca Duck: She sleeps with her head in the feeder…
