Anyone have a Duck Feeder like this?

That still works - OK. - Over the time the ducks have learned how to plug the drain-hole in the bottom with feathers, grass and mud, so from time to time i open the valve and nothing happens. Still working on this.

Yes they do seem to waste a lot of feed by grabbing a mouth full and heading to the water dish. That's why I was wondering if incorporating both together would slow down the waste or not?

Mixing the food with water will limit the amount of food-spill drastically! But you would have to flush the feeder at least once a day or the food/wate mix will start to ferment.

I like to keep my water and feed dishes clean daily and was under the impression that the start of fermented feed is ok to feed them, just nothing moldy

I’ve never made FF with out ACV that’s helps with the mold issue plus the fermenting.

Why is that not food wasted they still have to walk to the water? That is awesome how you put that together, and I am not being sarcastic just wondering how come your ducks aren’t wasting their feed? My Runners are such slobs I can imagine what that would look like in 5 min or less.

I suppose there is a little spillage on the way to the water, but not much. I mean they don’t step in it, they don’t poop in it and it stays bone dry. I fill the tubes about once a week.

That’s great. I used goat feeders for a while they can’t step in them or poop in them but they still grab a mouth full and head for the water bucket. Now I am using a hard round plastic feeder with a piece of scrap wood over the middle so they can’t stand in it or poop in it they still spill some as they go to the water bucket but they just can’t help it they have no manners. lol
