Anyone have a good list of simple products to have on hand?

I will for sure get something to deworm them though.
There are two groups of people reference worming chickens; those who do it routinely every six months or so, just as a precaution or due to location where worms are prevalent, and those like myself who have never wormed their chickens or only do it when they are visibly noticeable or a fecal test proves they have worms.

This is another product I do not stock, but if ever needed, I can get some only a few miles away.

Get a bottle of calcium citrate (like what you'd take as a calcium supplement) to have on hand if one of your girls starts laying soft shell or no shell eggs.

Another option for for soft shells is crushed and ground egg shells added to their feed. For that, I recommend a mortar and pestle. You will recognize when they are getting too much calcium by the little ‘bumps’ on the shells.

Egg shell powder is also good for tomato plants (and compost in general).
