Anyone have any phobias?????

I have a phobia that I don't know the name of - I have a fear of toilets!! I know..........don't laugh!! It started when I was small, about 3, I ran screaming from a hotel loo and have had this ever since. I cannot flush the loo with the door shut unless I am in a fairly large room! I cannot go into certain toilets - public ones - it is worse if the tiling is a dark colour. The flushing thing is the noise and the rushing of the water. I also cannot cope with any loo that has a cistern high up! We had one of those at home and I really struggled to use it!!
This is a real pain and I have got better since having children - you have to hide these things when they are small. They understand now and accommodate my fear!!

LOL I don't like toilets either... but mostly because they are dirty and gross. (Public ones.)
I would rather go outside than use a public toilet.

My biggest fear is fatal illnesses. I'm terrified of dying a long, slow death from an illness. Unfortunately for me, that's the way most people go.

Roaches, I've had horrible nightmares. I know they can't really hurt you, I love other bugs/arachnids, but roaches

I also can't swim in the ocean. There is a whole generation of us that saw Jaws way too young at a friends house. Then there is the sneaker waves, and undercurrents and..... In my defense, I can swim (wade) in the Atlantic, but the Pacific is a different beast entirely.

Oh my goodness I don't blame you one bit I can't swim in the ocean either! Waist high is as deep as I'll go. Too many scary things and currents down there.

Ooo! I forgot to add that I am terrified of the thought of being picked up from an accident by my coworkers (EMT's). If I live it means I'll have to face them again, knowing they've seen everything God graced me with.
