ANYONE HAVE EGGS DUE!! CHARTS ON PAGE ONE POST ONE!! NEWCOMERS WELCOME!!!

I candled last night, and out of the 11 eggs under her, I saw the five fertile ones. Sadly, my little phoenix hen (who I very much want to get babies from) is too small to lay viable eggs. All hers were infertile, and got tossed.

But still, five eggs! That will be my biggest hatch ever, lol!

That's wonderful!

What breed of goat do you have in your avatar picture? I don't know much of anything about them, but am interested. Found backyard herds last night but haven't much time to look closely. I need a farm. lol

Thank you very much! I will look at the first post and show it to the husbend so we have something to compare to!

You can candle early if you want, it shouldn't hurt. Candling day 7 -10 shows the veins and the little black blob moving (see pictures in 1st post).
Good luck everyone!

That's a Nigerian Dawrf goat in my avatar. She's only a few months old in the picture.

I forgot to mention in my first post that I also have some silkies, a couple mixes and BBS orpingtons in lockdown right now! If ya'll want I'll post pictures when they hatch

They are due on the 25th!

Okay, I'll join in over here as well.

On Feb 15th, I set 36 bobwhite quail, due 3/9.
On Feb 17th, I set 23 (one broke in shipment) lakenvelder, 7 golden campine & 7 silver campine, due 3/9.
These were all shipped eggs, so if half develop I'll be happy. This is my first time with shipped eggs.

On Feb 19th, I set 17 BCM, due 3/11. I picked these up from a local breeder.
On Feb 19th, I set 6 of my own golden campine, also due 3/11.

I did a quick candling of the eggs yesterday (just touching the candler to the top of the eggs without picking it up). I see 8 lakenvelder developing, 4 SC, 3 GC and most of the quail. The other eggs are all still too early (or dark!).
