hi! Im new to this, how can you tell if they have internal pip? Im on day 22and anxiously waiting! good luck with your babies!

Just put my eggs in lockdown tonight and day 21 is on saturday can't wait

18 maybe 19 : 1 White leghorns, 10 EE and 7/8 Barred Rock

Mine hatch Saturday also

It just did the internal pip this morning! This is a quick working little ducky! lol!
MamaChickie - (An internal pip is when the little one breaks it's beak through the membrane into the air cell. If you shine a light on top of the air cell you will see the shadow of the beak and hear light tapping, maybe a little *cheep* too!)

Should I be prepared for anything with this little one coming so soon? I THOUGHT the hatch date would be the 13th. (My broody female started sitting and got the hatch date from their development progress they were at. I could have been off though.)

well checked eggs when i got up and 2 were piped and one chick was out. got home from work just now and i have 18 chicks out and 6 or more pipped!!!!! 20 or so to go!!
