Do you have a special place that you candle yours in to see them better? Or do you do it in the evening when it is dark out?

I wait till night time and turn the lights off in my room and shut the door. it gets real dark in there

All my eggs turned out to be duds.

I did get some new eggs from a farmer friend of mine and those are under her now. So I guess we are on reset with her.

Thanks, I think that our rooster doesnt know what he is supposed to do yet in the way of "dating" the ladies. The eggs I got today are most likely fertilized.

lol i have a 4 year old rooster that has never mounted his cage mate in all the years ive had him, I was hoping to breed them but its just not ganna happen lol. The only reason i keep him is because hes such a sweet boy.

Well, I'm not feeling good about my hatch. The air sacs aren't as big as they should be. I haven't seen any eggs wobbling. I'm in lockdown, I guess I'll find out soon.

Has anyone done an "eggtopsy" on a egg they thought wasn't alive but it actually was? I haven't yet, and I hope I never do!

What would you do if that happened?

Yes I have done that before...its sad but you do learn from it...

So far we have 8 outta 11 hatch...one is pipped but dont know if it is strong enough to get out...and the last two no pips..

ok I couldnt wait any longer..today is day 21 and all but four had hatched...the one with the pip hole, looks good and if you hold it up to your ear you can hear it pecking in the inside..sooo it back in the bator. The other two were a no go...

mine are due to hatch tomorrow. no wigglers yet. checked air cells and there on the small side. but i have a few internal pips so im hopful. Good luck on ur hatch!!!
