I love the "eyeliner" around the lighter ones eyes. :)

nope its perfect humidity. it will rise during hatching. mine got up to 90% during hatching. i like to keep mine at 70% during lockdown. never had an issue

Well, now I am having problems getting the temperature back up. It dropped to 94 when I added water for humidity and is now at 96.9. Unfortunately, it is hard for me to be there to keep an eye on it as I work during the day. But, today I am going to make the trip home for lunch and check on it again. So frusterating!!!

what kind of bator you have? I had to block up one of the vent holes cuz mine did the same..make sure you put warm water in.

Well I wish I could take fuzzy pics of my chickies and quail but unfortunately the batteries are dead on my camera and I have to buy more

Anyway, I have 13 out of 16 hatched and doing well. One is still pipped and is just being slow but will hatch soon I think. The other two were fully developed but the heads were in the small end of the egg sooooo......you know what that means. Ready to hatch and no air = death.

The rest are all doing well and is amazing how much smaller the quail chicks are up to the chicken chicks OMG! lol I have 16 more eggs that go into lockdown day after tomorrow. These aren't my eggs though, I am hatching a friends eggs for her. I will be setting a dozen turkey eggs this weekend most likely as well.

If you are certain that the heads are at the wrong end, can you help them hatch? If they will die anyway, does that make it worse? How do you see that they are turned wrong?
