if its a little blood it should be ok. but if it starts draining out of the egg remove the egg and wrap it in a wet paper towel

If you want to, Meshellrose, you can put the bloody egg on a damp paper towel so you don't get blood everywhere. Good luck!

thank you both, it is on a damp paper towel , I had one under them already the baby is still chirping and trying to get free so I guess it's ok.

We are hatching NOW but are not due til Wed.. Is this normal to have them start cracking so early? This is our first set and would love some answers to a few ?s.....

I had some chicks do the same thing last year. They all turned out great. I set some eggs last week myself and it will be day seven tomorrow. Can't wait for them to hatch

We set some on Monday so we are on day 4 and things look good.. Maybe I am a bit of a worry wart and the last time I did this I was 7 or 8 and don't remember but our eggs are cracking with large cracks and some are oozing also the bator smells foul is this normal?

Ok.temp is up to about 100 and the humidity is 70%. I will just leave it be for now. 2 days left now. I hope the 1 Sumatra left hatches. But it did seem right in the last couple of days. :/

the cracking oozing ones are not normal, they are bad eggs. if it stinks and the cracked eggs arent moving or chirping they are bad and can explode and ruin all the other eggs. id take them out now if i were u

The cracked eggs are from our first set due to hatch on Wed. The cracks are getting bigger and the eggs are moving but there is a small amount of something that did come out but is no longer.. Maybe I am in denial

ok that liquid could be the white that didnt go away. i get a few eggs like that. what was ur humidity for the first 18 days and what is it now? And have u candled these eggs yet?? like within the past few days?
