Well, all but one fertile egg hatched! Not sure what happened with the last one but since it had no pip DH and I checked it out. It was cold, then after DH opened it up he saw that it had somehow dried out, fully developed but dry.

I'm so glad to have gotten 7 out of 8, I think that's a great hatch! Hubby is ready to fill up the bator, lol. Turns out the eggs we have in the fridge are just a little too cold, from what we've read. I collected eggs twice today and the second eggs collected will be going in, once we collect some more. We have about 7 dozen eggs in the fridge so I guess I'll just collect eggs for incubation for now, lol.

I have turkeys in as well. I have 26 set in two different hatching dates. Of the first 13 set, 11 are doing very well, two were clear so I tossed them. The second bach of 13 isnt looking as good but its still early so I'm waiting. It does seem there were quite a few bloodrings in that batch. Not sure why. All from the same breeder and the same temps/humidity in the bators.

ooooooo I forgot! All five of my ducklings hatched out!!! YAY! A 100% hatch rate!! They are all doing well and sooooooo cute. Chocolate Indian Runners. I'll get pics later.

<3 ducks but hate their poo! I had 3 ducks for YEARS! then.. a loose dog got in and killed one.. afterward my PEKIN (who aren't generally EVER broody) decided she'd sit on some eggs.. a little bit later I had 3 new babies.. the dad was a blue swedish duck and the babies were GORGEOUS. Finally after a few months I had 2 males including the father and 3 females including the mother.. eventually I osold them because the dogs would go out and roll in their poo.. it was yucky.. ANYWAYS... of the 12 mixed eggs I've been incubating I'm on day 21 and 6 are already partially hatched!

I hope the rest hatch... but I know they still have time... I hope..

...... not bad for a first timer, right?

How do you know which ones are making noise? I have a chick(s) peeping from the egg right now also, but I don't have a clue which one it is or if it is even more then one lol.

I have a bantam I sat on 3\20 this should be my day 11. And I just candeled and this is what I saw looking at me!!! I am so excited my first hatch never developed all 29 were flops and this is the only baby I have left. One from one of our own girls!!! Hatch day is also my DH's bday. Oh I hope he\she does well.
