My next batch of eggs will be selected & set by the moon phase as that seems to be the only time I get a decent hatch rate.

I've had two more hatch and they are doing great! There has been a few times my temps dropped. The first time was when we had a very hot week and had to turn the air on I kept the room to the door closed but didn't realize the nob on the air conditioning vent was broke so when I closed it it didn't really close. And then this past week although I haven't messed with the thermostat the temps have been dropping and raising like crazy. I have a still air little giant but really want an upgrade I have too many problems with it. So I have 5 healthy happy chicks that are fluffing out and bouncing around. I didn't move them last night, instead I used a warm damp towel to divide them from the others that had not pipped and made a soft place for the weaker one to lay in peace. It moved all over until I gave it the bed. I have seen it flap it's wings and it's talking it's head off. This morning it seemed to be stuck on it's back so I rolled it over and it tried standing. Seems to be getting stronger to me and wants to get to the other chicks, but tires easily. There is a flesh colored "bubble?" sticking out of it's bottom. I posted a pic in another thread but I'm writing this on my phone so I can't post the pic but here is a link to it. Will y'all please look at it? I didn't think the little baby would make it through the night but it's a fighter for sure. I just think if there is something I can do to help it I should. I have and continue to get so much joy from these guys that I owe anything I can give back. Here's the link, and thank you in advance. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/635665/set-eggs-3-5-looking-for-others-to-hatch-with/670I would move them out if they are nice and dry to a brooder with a good at lamp ready. Make sure the heat lamp has been on though so its nice and warm for them. Sounds like maybe your temps were running a tad low since you have a couple with blood still in the egg and not doing well. I had the same thing happened to me this hatch and its the first hatch that I know my temps ran a bit low because my digital thermometer went out and the bulb ones always run low.
I lost a chick tonight. It was formed well, but it came out of the egg too soon. I don't know if the egg broke, if momma hen stepped on it or what. I'm quite sad, seeing that little chick there in the nest was heartbreaking.
