The mama hen is a Plymouth White Rock. The daddy is a Barred rock. My brood consists of Plymouth White Rocks, Buff Orpingtons, Barred Rocks and 2 Americauna's... I LOVE my chickens!!!

awwww i love the pics. My hamburg chick hatched but im thinking its not a hamburg. I took the egg out from under a hamburg hen but im thinking another roo got her when the owner wasnt looking. ill post pics soon. my choclet polish eggs didnt make it. My buff silkie eggs are doing great so far, Only a few more weeks till hatch

Bwalker, she is pretty. I have not read about them, are they good laying chickens? I will have to expand my flock in a few years (not to mention how many I get out of this brood) as my Isa's I have heard slow way down after 3 years on laying, so looking for a good breed. I was thinking Deleware's but she sure is pretty. How are the babies doing?

The Plymouth White rocks are incredible laying hens PLUS have a wonderful temperment... I would get them again in a heartbeat... I have two Delawares too, I think I incorrectly posted that they were Americaunas...I don't know why I always want to mix those names up.. ANyway, babies are doing wonderfully! Sure is the most fun I have had in a long time

Having a Broody hen raising her chicks is so much fun to watch. Try feeding them chick food from your hands. I go out every evening and sit on a milk crate. The chicks fly up on my shoulders n lap trying to be first to get the food. Momma got jealous and started flying up on me to. Several of the other hens followed suit!!

I set some eggs on the 26th of may due to hatch on the 16th anyone else here hatching then?
Also I should mention.... I am a first time hatcher!!! getting so excited! I am gonna be a Mamma soon!
