Home from work. Since the Silky eggs weren't doing anything this morning (should have hatched yesterday), I brought them in & put in the incubator. Giving them a couple more days. But in exchange I gave Bitty 2 of the standard eggs. One has hatched.

She has a wet white chick under her. One more has hatched in the incubator.

It's orange and appears to be an EE chick. The lady I got my eggs from said she had some Araucana chickens, but I think just hens not roosters. Still have 8 eggs to go, and again they aren't even due until tomorrow evening.

mine werent due till today and they hatched yesterday lol. u should candle ur silkie eggs and see if u see anything

Well I candled the Silky eggs last evening. Two were full & I couldn't see anything but one had a floating bubble. I know that shouldn't be there so I broke open the egg. Or rather I started to break it open. As soon as I tapped it on the edge of a bowl, it exploded!! The chick inside was indeed a Showgirl like her daddy, but had died probably last week. Same with the other 2 Silky eggs.

I'm really glad I gave my Momma Silky 2 other eggs. One hatched yesterday, the 2nd is still pending (Hope).

My incubator eggs are due this evening. 5 hatched yesterday (counting the one w/the Silky). 1 is in the process of hatching now. Almost done zipping.

sorry to hear the showgirl egg didnt hatch, glad to hear the others are doing good tho

2 more cochin bantams hatched. One pre mature, soo small compared to the others. keeping in the bator till it gains enough strangth. Ones black and ones Partridge, So far i have two blacks and two partridge chicks. More eggs hatching now!!

ummm i got like 2 doz eggs from my friend, she has a few roo's and lots of hen's. I know there are some frizzel's, cochin's, turken's, and susex's and brown leghorns in her pen's. She handed me some eggs to hatch for her .
