One advantage to the Foys is that the power supply is just a couple of AAA batteries, which last months - I haven't had to replace them in 6 months. The other units require some kind of power supply, which could be more difficult to manage (e.g., needing to run AC power or buy expensive 12 volt batteries or both) and possibly increase the expense, the stand alone motor will need some kind of timer as well. Put it all together, and the prices may come out pretty similar.
