Excepting for the fish, it approximates in appearance crop contents of my birds when totally free-range with little or no supplementation with feed. To get good quality fill without feed or scratch requires better than an acre per bird during growing season. A lot more is needed during winter.

Do you have wild bird supply store near you? That is where I would get live meal worms. I have yet to find anything that stimulates appetite in a chicken more than live soft bodied insects that brown or green.

No Ive never seen a wild bird supply store. I'll Google it to see if I have one near me though!

I would pulverize the tablet and mix into feed so it is mixed with other nutrients for more uniform flux of nutrients. Feed him in small amounts at first to ensure all it consumed in short order.

Oh I was going to put it in a blueberry, so he gets it all lol. I'll crush it up though if you think that's better
